To provide a fast, accurate quote for PCB layout, Dataline requires:

1. A schematic.

2. An up to date bill of materials.

3. A mechanical drawing showing dimensioned board outline, usable component area, restricted areas for tooling and components, board thickness and substrate material, IE FR-4.

4. A total component pin count, if known.

5. Single or double sided assembly.

6. Are test points required, one or both sides.

7. Expected delivery date of artwork, drill and assembly drawings and all data files.

Other very useful information for quoting PCB layout:

• The finest pin pitch on SMT components.

• Will PDF copies of component specs be supplied

• A PADS formatted netlist

• Expected layer count and if any critical multi-layered stack-up info.

• IF known, minimum via size, line widths and spacing.

Quoting for PCB fabrication.

1. Minimum quantity of individual PC boards required.

2. The date the boards are needed in hand.

3. Is panelization of the PCB required.

4. Is gold plating required.

5. Is RoHS lead free compliancy required.

6. Is a substrate material, other than FR-4, required. What type?
